SHIP VALUATIONS

At Flintholm ShipBrokers, we combine extensive Sale & Purchase experience, in-depth market knowledge and access to comparable vessel transactions to provide independent and commercially sound ship valuations across a wide range of vessel types and segments.

Our valuations are based on prevailing market conditions, recent comparable sales, vessel characteristics, age, design, country and shipyard of construction, technical specifications, class status and other factors influencing a vessel's market value.

We offer two principal valuation services tailored to our clients' individual requirements:

Desktop Valuations

Our Desktop Valuations provide an assessment of a vessel's indicative fair market value without physical inspection, based on the vessel's design, country and shipyard of construction, available technical and commercial information, recent comparable sales and prevailing market conditions.

These valuations are particularly suitable for preliminary investment assessments, fleet portfolio reviews, financing considerations, loan-to-value (LTV) assessments and internal asset evaluations.

Comprehensive Ship Valuations

For clients requiring a more detailed assessment, we provide Comprehensive Ship Valuations incorporating a physical vessel inspection conducted by an independent marine surveying company, together with a review of available technical documentation, class and survey status, vessel condition and relevant operational characteristics.

The inspection findings are evaluated alongside prevailing market conditions, comparable vessel transactions and commercial considerations to establish a more detailed and substantiated assessment of the vessel's fair market value.

Our valuation services support shipowners, financial institutions, investors and other maritime stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding vessel acquisitions, disposals, financing and asset management.

Our objective is to provide realistic, independent and well-founded vessel valuations, combining actual market evidence with practical maritime experience and sound commercial judgement.
